Our Standards
At C3Builds, our standards are not marketing statements.
They are working principles applied to every project, every day.
They guide how we document, how we communicate, how we build, and how we take responsibility.
Clarity
Clarity comes before construction.
Scope, inclusions, specifications and allowances are documented before work begins. Variations are discussed, priced, and approved in writing before proceeding.
We don’t rely on assumptions.
We don’t build from vague descriptions.
Clear documentation protects your budget, your timeline, and the integrity of the build.
Clarity is the foundation of our No-Surprises Build Promise.
Foresight
Every stage is completed with the next trade and the final outcome in mind.
Framing considers plaster alignment.
Waterproofing considers long-term durability.
Services consider access and maintenance.
Building is sequential. Decisions made early affect performance years later.
We plan ahead so the finished result performs as intended — structurally, thermally, and visually.
Accountability
Our name is attached to every project.
Site conduct, workmanship, communication, safety and documentation reflect directly on C3Builds.
We maintain organised sites.
We follow compliant processes.
We provide regular updates.
If something needs attention, it is addressed properly — not overlooked.
Accountability means standing behind the work long after handover.
Respect
We are working in your home, not just on a job site.
We show respect for:
Your property
Your family’s routine
Your budget
Your timeline
The trades we coordinate
Professional conduct is not optional. It is expected.
No Shortcuts
Shortcuts create defects.
Defects create disputes.
We do not cut corners in preparation, documentation, structural work, waterproofing, or compliance.
If something is worth doing, it is worth doing properly — even when it is hidden behind walls.
That is how we build with confidence.
That is how we build without surprises.
Our Team
Chris
DirectorStart-to-finish involvement. Structural planning, sequencing, and execution. Calm leadership. Clear communication on every project.
Chris leads C3Builds with full involvement from initial planning through to final handover. His role centres on structural thinking, sequencing, and maintaining clear communication across every stage of a project.
He grew up in a hands-on, blue-collar environment where building was part of everyday life. One of his earliest experiences was helping construct a family cabin on Horne Lake in Canada—an introduction to building as something practical, durable, and purposeful.
Chris began his carpentry apprenticeship at 18 and has since worked across residential construction in Canada, Japan, and Australia. His experience includes renovations, extensions, and new builds, with a strong focus on structural integrity, buildability, and long-term performance. He has been working extensively in Australia since 2012.
Over time, Chris has developed a reputation for clear documentation, disciplined site management, and consistent delivery. His approach is grounded in foresight—thinking through sequencing, access, and detailing before work begins, not after issues arise.
At C3Builds, Chris sets the standard for how projects are run:
Clear scope before construction
Structured communication throughout
No reliance on assumptions or verbal agreements
Every project is approached with the same principle—build it properly, document it clearly, and remove as many unknowns as possible before work starts.
Max
Apprentice CarpenterCalm, steady, and thoughtful. Works alongside Chris from demolition through fine finishing. Reliable and consistent on every site.
Max is an apprentice carpenter working alongside Chris across all stages of construction, from early demolition through to finishing details.
He brings a different pathway into the trade. Originally trained as a mechanical engineer, Max has also worked in solar and technical environments before transitioning into carpentry. That background shows in how he approaches his work—methodical, detail-focused, and quick to understand systems on site.
Before starting his apprenticeship, Max gained hands-on experience through renovation work with family, giving him a practical foundation that has been further developed through structured training and site exposure at C3Builds.
He is currently studying at Murray Mallee while working on site, balancing formal training with day-to-day application.
Max is consistent in his approach:
He listens
He applies instruction
He improves with repetition
He is not rushed, and he does not cut corners. His work reflects steady progression and attention to detail—qualities that matter over the long term in this trade.
Outside of work, Max keeps things simple. He spends his time surfing, fishing, running, and being outdoors with his wife and dog. That same steady, grounded approach carries through to how he shows up on site.
He is developing into a reliable tradesman with a strong foundation—built the right way, over time.
